Sea conditions are generally excellent in the Tulamben region sites, little affected by the current. The water temperature is often the best around Bali, at a balmy 26-29ºC and the sun is almost always shining. Numerous Boat Dives, Shore Dives, an array of Macro Life very hard to compare to anywhere in the region along with fantastic night dives, Tulamben has something for divers of all levels and interests. Diving can’t get much easier than it does with Bali Diving Academy Tulamben.

Dive Vessels depart at least twice daily and snorkelers are welcome to join dive trips if space is available. A total of 16 dive sites exist in the Tulamben region, ensuring a variety of dives from wreck to muck diving. We keep our group sizes small (Divemaster/ Diver ratio minimum 1:4) and all dives are guided by experienced PADI professionals.

Take a dive on the incredible US Liberty Wreck and witness the fantastic array of corals and marine life that have made the 120m structure their home. Alternatively enjoy a calm inspection of one of the area’s vibrant coral reefs and see just how varied the marine life on Bali can be. Macro enthusiasts will love Seraya Secrets and Noisy Reef, where an unusual array of marine life can be found at any time of day.

There is no doubt that the most famous activities in Tulamben are diving and snorkelling. At the same time, Tulamben village is perfectly located in one of the most culturally reach areas of Bali.

This is an ideal opportunity for divers to discover beautiful and interesting places between their dives, or for non diving companions to explore the island and meet up with their friends in the evening to share their experiences, in and out of the water!

• Kerta Gosa, the former Royal Courts of Justice in Klungkung, in the heart of Klunkgung regency
• Goa Lawah (Bat Cave), one of Bali’s most historical temples, also in the Klunkgung area
• Tenganan Village, one of several ancient villages in Bali, where old traditions and ceremonies are still alive

Snorkelling in Tulamben can be a very easy and rewarding experience.

There are not many places on Earth where, with only mask, fins and snorkel, it is possible to explore a wreck in safe conditions and a comfortable water temperature.

In Tulamben we often arrange snorkelling for single, couples and families. We can also combine your snorkelling adventure with your diving companion’s trip.  This means you travel in the same vessel to the same site; one of you snorkels while the other dives.

It is possible to snorkel from the beach, and in addition to the wreck, there are several sites with very interesting corals and a great variety of reef fishes.

Snorkelling could not be easier!

The most efficient way to get to Tulamben is to organize a car from wherever you are. There are some local buses, but their schedules are changeable, causing lengthy delays.  

In our packages, transfers in air-conditioned cars are included, and our driver will be happy to talk with you about some of the villages and cultural aspects that you will see along the road.

The drive from South Bali to Tulamben, especially at about half way, is spectacular for the amazing views of the rice fields. Stopping to take a few photographs is a MUST.
